About WiSEASS
Women in Southeast Asian Social Sciences (WiSEASS) is a network of women and women-identifying social scientists doing research on Southeast Asia. Our activities have included organized panels on transitioning to mid-career academia, challenges of public intellectual work in Southeast Asia, work-life balance, publishing, etc. as well as small grants for collaboration among members.Â
The current co-conveners are Sayamol Charoenratana (Chulalongkorn University, Thailand), Riela Provi Drianda (Tokyo City University, Japan), Sol Iglesias (University of the Philippines-Diliman), Merlyna Lim (Carleton University, Canada), and Mary Anne Mendoza (California Polytechnic Pomona).
